Alfredo`s Mexican Restaurant in Lampasas

Alfredo's is an excellent Mexican restaurant. Great food and service. You really feel like you're at home there, even for us out of town folks. We went the other night while on a hunting trip and it was the best experience. We never ran out of chips or drink and they were incredibly accommodating with out order. The food was outstanding. The enchiladas are killer. The owner even came and took a picture with us, like we were old friends. Can't recommend this place enough.

This place is a hidden gem! We absolutely loved it there! Great food, fun atmosphere outside. Very kid friendly and reasonably priced.

Just finished a super tasty dinner. Very good food and temperature. Very clean establishment with a great ambience. Highly reccomend.

Great food, service, and atmosphere. Guacamole is terrific! They only take cash so you'll want to be prepared for that.

The food was great, portions were huge, the outdoor seating is wonderful, the service is just okay, and remember to bring cash (or expect to pay ATM fees). Would definitely recommend.

I love the suicide burrito and charro beans. Chili con queso is now just cheddar cheese sauce.

Absolutely loved the place and more importantly the food! Went to Lampass for a car event, and my husband and I are always trying new places. We will make the trip back soon!

Amazing food all around and such a fun atmosphere! Staff are very hard working and I will be sad to not get my weekly fill after I move. Highly recommend this place -

I start evaluating the moment the salsa hits the table. This experience did not start well. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was below par. We started by asking if they had a more spicy salsa. They did and it very good. I wonder why they don't serve it as the default salsa? The queso was just a bowl of yellow cheese. Enchiladas had no flavor. The last surprise was cash only.

Service was good, and the meat was good, but they just tossed green vegetables on top, no attempt to cook the at all.

A little above average food. Not bad. But not a place id go out of the way to wat at.

Absolute best food anywhere. My favorite place to eat when dining out. Always delicious and the staff are always delightful.

The restaurant is located off the Lampasas river and has some great views. The staff keeps it well maintained. The food was moderately good and was delivered fast. The salsa was bland and needs improvement.

Authentic Mexican food set in a family friendly atmosphere. Alfredo's has beautiful outdoor dining set on the river for enjoying the fresh air. Fast, friendly service. Good food. Beautiful outdoor dining. Great prices. This is a cash only establishment but they do have an ATM machine in the lobby.

The food was great. They did not serve alcohol and only accepted cash or they own their own ATM which I felt was shady. Double charged to get money out from the restraint and the bank to pay for the food we just ate.

Food was mediocre. Appetizers came with the food rather than before. Don't order beef fajita nachos. 4 chips with a few 1/2 strips of meat with lettuce on the side. Hostess was good but wait staff not so much. Took our order, brought food then brought check. Much too loud if you want to visit with family/friends.

Cash only. I visited this nice establishment on a very cool property as I was en route to Austin. I had searched places and this looked great. I wish I would have been shown a big red sign on the door that said cash only. And wait staff should definitely warn people about cash only, which is very odd in this day and age. In any case, great food and service and we may well return...with cash!

Friendly staff and anyone passing by the table will help you. The food is very good. We've tried the fajitas, tamales, enchiladas, tacos, burritos, queso and chips and salsa. The refried beans are beans, but the rice is exceptionally good and fresh tasting. This is a cash only restaurant, so bring cash with you. They have an atm, but the only time I didn't bring cash it wasn't working and I had to leave and come back to pay the bill while my husband stayed there.

Great food, and great atmosphere. Owner and staff are friendly and take care of the customers. I recommend the Chile con queso enchiladas plate, beef fajitas for the meat.

Ordered the #2 lunch special which included 2 cheese enchiladas, a crispy beef taco, rice, beans and guacamole. The cheese was not to my liking as it was more a nacho type cheese. The taco had a thin crispy shell. The guacamole was a generous portion. The meal was very good for the value. Unlike other Mexican restaurants, they do not give you tortillas with the meal, plus they don't take credit cards, so you must pay cash. They have an ATM on the premises.

We were in town for a basketball game and needed a good place to eat. This was a great find. Chips and Salasa were great. I had enchiladas and my husband had tacos. Great place and friendly staff.

Food was on point! Excellent service and the variety of food choices are outstanding. Beautiful outdoor seating area for warm weather dining. Would make a great date night restaurant. Highly recommend.

Average Mexican food. NO CREDIT CARDS in 2018 is absurd. $2.80 ATM fees inside. Ambiance and decorum was above average and the patio on the creek was nice. Overall it's a happy hour chips and queso margarita place with nothing worth returning for.

Waited too long at front to be greeted/ seated, place wasn't too busy either. Enchiladas not what I expected, cheese whiz? that s not Mexican . Beans/rice ok.

Tried the beef enchiladas and they were just like home made, very tasty. The beans and rice also were very tasty and I would highly recommend this plate as well as the facility since it was very clean and well maintained.
